Lets see I worked at school on Monday,. I can’t get over how some of these kids act, no manners and just bratty behavior. I know I am bias but I am really proud of how N&J behave. At school most of the time I hear them say please and thank you. I also love how they take the time to hug most people goodbye.  Some kids are just really disrespectful, don’t help clean up, and are just overall not nice. I don’t know if it is a cultural thing but I do see a lot of moms jump for their children. Of course I jump to help them but demanding me around, not going to happen. The kids made cute gardens at school. Also here are a few other pics from school.

The teachers brought out the dress up stuff again and Nikki was devastated the Scooby Doo costume wasn’t out. I hope they have it the next time we come to school. The kids love riding these low rider trikes. In the 2 and 3 day class they only used the high ones. On Tuesday 4/5 we babysat for a friend. Thankfully the kids all played really well together. Nikki really helped me with the 9 month old. She just loves babies. They also had the ball popper we used to have-it was so funny Nikki and Justin loved playing with it. I loved that toy, just brought smiles to my face thinking about when N&J were so young. We also had to get some stuff for the bathroom remodel. So I took the kids out with the Bob stroller and their Leapsters and they were great. They were so great so I rewarded them with a visit to the park. Plus I wanted to go to this park to check it out for picture taking. The kiddos rode their bikes but poor Nikki tried to go over a curb and fell. The kids had a great time playing on the concrete bunnies and posing for me.

We headed over to the park after and the kids had a great time. Dad came to meet us too. We have definitely been enjoying the lighter later and warmer weather. I don’t even think we ate until 7:00 then the kids went in the jacuzzi for a bit., We have been cuddling in my bed reading books at night, so nice.

Yesterday was soccer day. The kids did so well. Here are some pics:

Dad and I worked on the hedge most of the day. We decided it was time to call “the guy”. We went out to dinner with our next door neighbors which was nice.

Today we were heading to the Kidseum museum but ended up at the Santa Ana mall. Nikki and Justin wanted to go to the Disney store. I was interested to see how strong dad could be and not buy them anything. We both caved. Justin got the Dinoco helicopter and Nicole got the Skunk stuffed animal named Flower from Bambi. When we got home I vacuumed the cars while the kids painted and painted and painted. Then we washed mommy car. One car was enough for the kids so they went in to watch TV while I did daddy car. Dad came out too so we quickly waxed it too. While the kids were finishing watching Descpicable Me for the millionth time I ran to the grocery store. When I got home dad was on the phone with work…..he had to do work tonight. The kids and I went outside. We had a lot of fun. Nikki was pretending she was Margo from Descpicable Me while Justin and I were launching rocket balloons. Justin has been riding his Razor trike a lot lately, so I used his scooter. Then the kids got on their scooters and I was the police on the razor trike. They love that. It got dark on us so we came inside and read a lot of books. Kiddos are sound asleep. Justin has big floppy dog and pumpkin on him while Nikki is sleeping with Flower. Dad is still working….

It is April Fool’s Day but none of this is a joke. We started the remodel of our master bathroom and the one downstairs. The workers came bright and early to tear apart the showers, so crazy. Here are some pics:

It is very exciting. I still need to take pics of the downstairs bathroom but it is a little too dark now.

It was so warm today that we ended up going to Ms. Tanya’s pool. The kids were so excited and had a blast. I didn’t go in the water as I still have marks from when I had shingles. This pool had a high and low diving board. Guess who decided to jump off? Nikki did it, it is so amazing to be there for these moments. After doing it she had no fear and jumped over and over again. Even jumped without Ms. Tanya there to catch here. Unbelievable. Justin didn’t want to go on the diving board but he had fun watching people splash. He was really  into the jacuzzi. I think the kids were tired. Last night they went to bed late and were woken up early with the noise from the bathrooms. We were at the pool until 6:00ish. We came home had dinner and the kiddos played a little Mario Cart then off to bed.

Bret got his review at work today. So thrilled to find out it was better than expected. He got a great bonus and a great raise. This morning started off with the kiddos and their pre school friends coming over, so the moms could work out. All went really well until the kids went into the backyard. They made mud but they were having a really great time. Someone broke the kids hand stepping stone, I was really bummed but I am sure it can be glued back together. I dropped the kiddos off at school then ran to finally get my haircut. It was long overdue but it took a really long time. So then it was back to school to pick up the kids. After school the kiddos had to get their haircut, they were well overdue as well. We ran to the grocery store after and got daddy a little ice cream cake to celebrate his bonus, etc. We also went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. So great we had a coupon thing and the kids were free so we ate for practically nothing. It was a beautiful day today so we stayed outside until almost 8:00. The kids drove cars, scooters, etc. They got some buckets and went to find treasure. They were making ghosts noises so the neighbor kid out his window did the same. The kids loved talking to him. N & J were on the greenbelt while the kid was in an upstairs window in his house. It was pretty funny. Justin let me sleep with one of his favorite animals tonight, Pumpkin and Nikki let me sleep with Rainbow Bear. Tonight we read lots of books in my bed and I was just falling asleep.

I am having so much trouble keeping up with the blog lately. Yesterday a few of us from pre school got together to work out. One of the girls is a personal trainer so the kids came here and played while the moms worked out. I hope we can keep this up. The kids played so well and Nikki & Justin were so happy to have their friends over. I worked at school. The fire dep’t came to visit the kids. They told the kids a story and discussed fire safety. Then the kiddos went outside and got to go in the truck.

The kids have been doing letter of the day. Today was V. The kids think of all the words they can that start with V. The snack was vegetable soup but unfortunately none of the kids liked it. After school we just came home and played. We played outside until dad came home. The kids rode scooters and drove their red cars. Dad finished the taxes and then we stayed up too late watching TV. Justin has been diaper free at night for about 2 weeks now, yeah!!!!

Nikki woke up a lot last night. She said she was having bad dreams. The dream was everyone was getting things and all Nikki got was paper. I had to go to preschool this morning for the start of registration. The kids went into the 3 day class and had fun. I couldn’t see keeping the kiddos there for their regular afternoon class, so we left after registration was over. We came home and the kiddos played cars for a while then lunch. I was trying to get them in the bath for the longest time. We snuggled in my bed. This was really nice and cute. We were giggling and laughing plus getting warm. I needed the rest. The kiddos played in the jacuzzi while I did some gardening then I finally got them in the shower. We printed out a lot of coloring pages and I pulled out the scrapbooks. The rain started and we just played. We ran out to look at a karate class. I think Nikki could have stayed there the entire time watching, she is so excited. Justin was pretty interested as well. We let the kiddos watch the Incredibles on this raining evening. The kids were pretty tired tonight so we just read some books and cuddled.

I feel like we have been so busy lately but enjoying life. On Thursday the kids and I went to the Environmental Nature Center in Turtle Rock for a pre school field trip. It was so fun to watch the kiddos play and they were so excited to be at the park. We were only at the ENC for a short time. Mostly the kids were happy at the park. This park has a little stream and all the kids were in it with the ducks. It was so cute. I am so glad we held the kids back as if they were in kinder now they wouldn’t be having all this fun.

Alan and T were having dinner at Grandma/pa’s that night so the kiddos decided they wanted to go. I got to go to the pre school general meeting, waste of time. I am feeling so much better. The blisters are all scabs and almost all gone. On Friday night, 3/18, our neighbors gave us tickets to see Wicked. So dad and I had a date night. It was nice to be out. I always feel so guilty leaving Nicole especially at bedtime so I made a mommy pillow for her. I took one of our big king pillows and dressed it with a polo and shorts. It was so funny. I also left the kids notes on their pillows, just saying goodnight and reminding them we love them. When we got home I kissed Nikki and woke her up. Thank goodness she went back to bed easily but I will treasure that little moment. I went into Justin’s room and he woke up too. So I took him to the potty and we talked for a short bit, so nice. Wicked was pretty good but not sure I would run right out and see it again.

Today, 3/19 soccer started again. So many people from last season came back and some new friends. It was so nice to see so many people but a bit overwhelming. The kids both scored some goals and it was great to see them back on the field. They seemed to have a great time. After we went to some jamboree thing at Camp James. It was pretty neat. We had lunch then there were just a bunch of activities for the kids. Here is a picture of my little bunny:

When we got home Justin said he was tired and he is asleep right now. I hope he isn’t getting sick. Nikki is sitting here next to me watching Despicable Me. Justin took about an hour nap and seemed better. We had our friends come over-Justin was a little sluggy but after dinner was fine. The kids all played tonight and had fun together. And we had fun hanging out with some friends and having adult conversation. Kids are in bed and now I am going to relax. I felt like I ran around all day, playing, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Thought since I can’t do much I would take some time to catch up on the blog. Just when I was feeling better I got shingles. This sucks-it is so friggen painful. I rested most of the day yesterday. Dad worked from home, thank goodness. He helped so much with the kids. It makes me so sad I can’t do much with the kiddos. I went to the doctor yesterday and am now on an anti-viral med so hopefully it will work fast. The kids have been playing cars so much. We got them a Mack trailer for Lightening and seriously they have been playing that so much. They were able to watch the cars movie yesterday too. The cleaners left a gap between the couch and the carpet in the family room-the gap has become the kiddos street. The kiddos have just been busy riding bikes still. School is about space right now and they made some rocket ships. I had to go to school at the beginning of the week and help paint the new shed. One of their friends from school was there too and they played so well together. It is so nice seeing the kiddos play so well with their friends. One day last week while I was working at school since the shed was being built, we were able to go to the park. It was nice to play somewhere else and the kids had a great time. It was a little stressful keeping an eye on all the kids but it went great. Things have gone back to normal since Buffi has gone back to NZ. I am glad the kids don’t talk about her too much-I didn’t want them to be sad she was leaving. Well Bret has been taking good care of me and the kids. It was all about daddy the entire weekend. The kids went on fun bike rides with daddy. They were so excited about going in the bike lane. Nikki has been her helpful little self. She actually told me she wished she had the rash rather than me. Justin is still my water boy. Yesterday he wanted to go in the jacuzzi but Bret was working on it and adding more water taking some out, etc. That didn’t stop Justin from getting naked and playing in the water. He was laying on top of the jacuzzi cover naked, silly but dirty kiddo. The water was finally warm enough and the kiddos went into the jacuzzi. I have been getting better each day but wearing a bra is a little painful so I am staying close to home. Bret will take some time off work too. He could use a break anyway.

Bret was off today for President’s Day. We started out by going on the open space trail with the kid’s bikes. It was kind of cool, however, they kept stopping to play. They were a little weirded out biking at a new place. They scared me going down the hills but they were fine. Here are some pics I got:

The kids were on their bikes most of the day and I am not kidding. I grabbed the cones and made a course for them which even made it more exciting. Dad and I sat there and watched while on computers then I worked in the garage a bit. I am loving my new phone and thinking how did I ever live with out it. So great to get e-mail, etc anywhere I am. Tonight we went to Chick-Fil-A with Buffi, Brittany, and Grammy. The kids played and played in the play area. They had so much fun together. We were there for a while and the kiddos wanted to play cars for a bit when they got home. It is now 9:15 and they are still awake, ugh.

Today I was finally feeling really great. I am hoping it continues and I get back into losing weight but most importantly I just want to feel well. The kids are still loving being on two wheeler bikes. They are both pro’s, starting and stopping on their own. They have become very confident-both stand up on the bike and Justin is going down curbs. Today we celebrated Tierney’s 3rd birthday with Alan/Roberta/Grandma/Pa. We went to Dave and Busters and Justin was all over the games. Both kids had a great time. I barely saw Justin in the game room. Can’t believe little T is 3, happy birthday my sweet niece. We came home and the kids rode their bikes. They were so happy that two neighbors saw them riding. The kids brought out their Lego’s and played really well for a while. Nikki continued playing it by herself and it was nice to hear her playing on her own.

So Justin has not been wanting to sleep with pants or underwear. I do try and sneak a diaper on him in the middle of the night. But the other night he said to me “why do I have two footballs by my penis”? I can’t remember laughing so hard. Luckily he was tired so he didn’t ask too many questions.

I have finally joined the rest of the world and have a phone I can text with, do e-mail, surf the web, etc. Bret was so great in setting it up for me. At first we chose a phone that wasn’t that great-we didn’t know. So the entire time I listened to Bret say it isn’t an Iphone. We ended up exchanging it and getting a better phone. It is a pretty cool phone.

Kiddos are in bed and I am going to relax finally.
