Big day in the Sander’s household, the kids are getting their own rooms. Their new furniture has been moved in. The kids seem to be really excited about their rooms. This morning we had a little play group. The kids had fun playing together. One of our friends is letting us borrow a tinkerbell costume so Nicole was as happy as can be to wear it. She loved the wings the best. Nicole was busy playing Tierney all day. She wanted someone to feed her, etc. Dad stayed home this morning to help with the furniture move. It was a bit crazy in the house this morning, but all went well. We went up to their rooms and hung out for a bit. The kids decided which stuffed animals would go in their rooms. Justin brought in lots of toys, cars and trains and was so happy to be in his own space. He helped bring in his underwear and socks from Nicole’s closet. He loved putting them in his own drawers. This is so easy for them but I remember when they were in the womb together, then the crib, then the same room and now they have their own rooms 🙁 After playing in their rooms for a bit I let the kiddos watch TV, Super Why and Curious George. I have been on fly patrol. After having the slider open and the front doors for the furniture we have some flies in the house-ugh. The kids were trying to help me get the buggers. I packed a picnic dinner and the kids and I are headed to the pool. Dad will meet us there when he gets home from work. We had a great time at the pool. It was so crowded though. The kids are loving the water which is so nice. And I love that I can give them a shower right after. I can’t remember the last time I gave them a bath/shower at home. We had a picnic dinner there and then came home. We immediately went upstairs and the kiddos were all about their own rooms. We put up some pictures and got the rooms a little organized. I will have to take a few pics tomorrow. They both played so happily in their rooms tonight. Justin actually gave daddy a hug and said thank you for my furniture I love it. So cute. Nicole got her toy laptop and put it on the keyboard drawer. So amazing just watching them play in their own rooms. They were so ok with being alone tonight. Justin did say what if I have to tell Nikki something? We read books in Justin’s room tonight and we will alternate rooms every night if we can remember whose room we were in the night before. The kiddos went right to sleep. It is a little sad for me but know it is just a step of growing up, but does it have to happen so fast? The kiddos had to test out that we could hear them since one of the rooms doesn’t have a monitor. Here are pics of their new rooms:
