Nicole woke me up to go potty at 5:00AM then I couldn’t fall back to sleep-ugh. We played at home before all our friends came over. I finally signed Nicole up for ballet. One accomplishment a day! The kids though it would be fun to go out the backyard through the gate and ring the doorbell. I really thought it was someone for playgroup-they did get me twice. Finally I showed them how to open the door-they thought it was so funny. We had a little playdate. It was fun! Justin was so excited since Mikey brought over the racetrack Justin loved. Justin could hardly believe it. He wanted to play race car ever since it came into our house. There were lots of kids to play with him. After playgroup the kids and I strung beads. The kids made name bracelets for themselves and a few of their friends. Very sweet that they wanted to make the ones for their friends first. They had so much fun making bracelets with their names on it. Then we headed to the movies to see “Up”. Nicole doesn’t like any bad thing that happens in the movie. Justin says he liked it and Nicole said she liked the colors of the balloons. But all night we have been talking about the movie and the bad guy. I think I will wait a long time before taking her to a movie again. She always focus’s on the bad and wants to try to figure it all out. Maybe she will be the best therapist when she is older. When dad got home all Justin wanted to do was race cars. He is loving the track and gets so excited when you are able to pass the cars. Nicole and I played doll house for a while. I can’t wait to Christmas when she gets her new doll house as I know she will love it. It is 8:45 and I hear Nicole still awake, ugh. It was a mellow night tonight and hopefully Nicole will fall asleep soon.

Happy Labor Day. I got my lazy butt out of bed and went for a jog/walk this morning. More walking was done then jogging. We went to Grammy’s to meet her friend from NZ. Very nice lady and brought the kids really cute clothes. It was a bit hectic at Grammy’s as Sharon is moving in and lots of people are out her house. Whenever we are at Grammy’s lately she has had people there so it has been hard to have Grammy time. None the less the kids had a great time. I even got in the freezing cold pool with the kiddos. They stayed in the water as long as they could handle it but it was cold. Dad worked on Grammy’s laptop, getting it connected to the DSL. We were at Grammy’s much longer then we thought. We got home and filled up a bunch of water balloons. It is our turn to babysit for Paula’s kids. Of course it took us a long time to fill the balloons and I think it took 5 kids 30 seconds to pop them all. But it was sure fun listening and watching them. For some reason the kids were a little difficult tonight. Usually they are all awesome together. Nicole was a little cranky so that didn’t help things. We walked over to the pizza place, thinking they would love the games but it was closed for remodeling. So we walked over to Del Taco instead. The kids had fun walking over together but did want to carry sticks, etc. When we got home we played out in front mostly. The kids drove the cars, rode bikes, played ball, etc. The house didn’t get too messy since we were mostly outside tonight which was nice. We got our kiddos to bed a little late tonight. When everyone left our kiddos just wanted to play a bit and have time with mom and dad.

I was up bright and early this morning. Kind of nice having some time to myself. I watched TV and cleaned up. I can’t remember the last time I watched a show. I made a nice Sunday morning breakfast. Justin woke up first and was as cute as can be. Big smiles on his face. I so enjoyed sitting at the table with him. Nicole woke up very happy as well. The kids slept in a bit which was nice. We played this morning with the kiddos. Dad and J trains. Poor daddy always hears daddy will you play trains with me. They love daddy home. We decided to all go to the grocery store together. Justin and daddy went off with their list to get and Nicole and I got the rest of the stuff. It was kind of fun going as a family. When we got home, the kiddos helped me make brownies since I am bringing desert to a friend’s house tonight. The kids had a great time, pouring in all the ingredients and mixing. Then they went outside and had a great time. They used their brooms with water and cleaned the picnic tables, they cleaned the windows. They were just having so much fun. Dad took a little time to get some stuff done and I made water balloons to bring to a friend’s house as well. After lunch we played trains. I just remembered this from yesterday dad was telling Nicole she must be tired and she said no because she took a nap at Paula’s. Dad said if I call Paula and ask if you took a nap, and Nicole said don’t call her 🙂 HA HA HA I try to remember all the things they say but it is hard. Dad took a nap and the kids and I played. I got to play trains and the kids did some water coloring. Then we headed to the pool. The kids thought it was so funny that I was taking daddy’s car. His car was just in the way of mine. We had a great time at the pool. Nicole was wild though. She has no fear in the water, not good. The kids have been so polite today, being so nice to one another. I told them they get an extra cherry on their brownie sundae today. Isn’t it funny how a simple thing like a cherry makes them happy? The kids watched TV for a bit then we headed to our friend’s house for dinner. It was so nice as the kids were able to play on their own a bit. It was great conversation and food. Dad and I enjoyed sitting outside and having dinner together. The kids played so well and loved all the toys. Nicole was really into the Little Einsteins rocket ship and Justin loved the mini golf thing and Geotrax. The kids barely ate dinner and got to bed a little late. I hope they sleep in tomorrow morning.

Last night went well with their own rooms. I don’t think they missed each other. They are loving their own space and things. I went for a run this morning with a friend. It had been a long time-I think all my stamina is gone. Why does it take so long to build up but then it diappears quickly. I was going through things for the kids rooms. I got a few boxes out from my childhood. I got some of my little dolls out that were in my hutch to put in Nicole’s hutch. Justin even wanted them in his room too. We found an old rubick’s cube and Justin happily put it in his room. Justin has been putting most of his stuff in his drawers, we are never going to find their toys again. I let Nicole pick out a couple masks of mine for her room. She may be a little young for them but we will see. Dad gave Justin his model BMW 8 series car to put in his room. After lunch we needed to get out of the house. So we headed to the Spectrum. We walked around a bit, went on the carousal. Justin and dad went on the ferris wheel while Nicole and I went into a few stores. Then the kiddos went in the fountains, they weren’t too into them though. The sun wasn’t on the fountains in the afternoon so the kiddos got cold pretty quickly. We just hung out for a while and were with the kids. Justin saw a train at the Toys R Us holiday store and wanted to watch it again and again. There was a little boy breaking it and bothering Justin so I said he could come back. We almost forgot we promised Justin we could go back. So dad and Justin ran back to see the train quickly while Nicole and I got the car. I love that Nicole loves doing things with me, no matter what I do and Justin loves going with daddy. We dropped our kids off at our friend’s house so we could have date night. Bret and I had a nice night. We came home for a bit and just enjoyed being in our house alone. We went to the District and had dinner. So relaxing and then just walked around the District. No stress or anything, really really nice to be together. The kids had a blast at Paula’s. Justin was so into this race car set. He did it almost the entire time. Paula said Justin took one bit of dinner and said he was done, so he could go back up to the race track. Nicole said she played kitty and played with the girls. After dinner Nicole suggested they go to the park, so they did. I just love to watch Paula’s kids interact with ours, so sweet. Nicole wore Katie’s flip flops home and is so loving borrowing them. We didn’t get the kids to bed until about 8:45. They were too excited to play in their rooms. Justin and I looked out the window when it was dark in his room. He was so excited to see a star and the moon. I did the same with Nicole. So fun to get them alone for a few minutes now while putting them to bed. Got to clean up around here.

Big day in the Sander’s household, the kids are getting their own rooms. Their new furniture has been moved in. The kids seem to be really excited about their rooms. This morning we had a little play group. The kids had fun playing together. One of our friends is letting us borrow a tinkerbell costume so Nicole was as happy as can be to wear it. She loved the wings the best. Nicole was busy playing Tierney all day. She wanted someone to feed her, etc. Dad stayed home this morning to help with the furniture move. It was a bit crazy in the house this morning, but all went well. We went up to their rooms and hung out for a bit. The kids decided which stuffed animals would go in their rooms. Justin brought in lots of toys, cars and trains and was so happy to be in his own space. He helped bring in his underwear and socks from Nicole’s closet. He loved putting them in his own drawers. This is so easy for them but I remember when they were in the womb together, then the crib, then the same room and now they have their own rooms 🙁 After playing in their rooms for a bit I let the kiddos watch TV, Super Why and Curious George. I have been on fly patrol. After having the slider open and the front doors for the furniture we have some flies in the house-ugh. The kids were trying to help me get the buggers. I packed a picnic dinner and the kids and I are headed to the pool. Dad will meet us there when he gets home from work. We had a great time at the pool. It was so crowded though. The kids are loving the water which is so nice. And I love that I can give them a shower right after. I can’t remember the last time I gave them a bath/shower at home. We had a picnic dinner there and then came home. We immediately went upstairs and the kiddos were all about their own rooms. We put up some pictures and got the rooms a little organized. I will have to take a few pics tomorrow. They both played so happily in their rooms tonight. Justin actually gave daddy a hug and said thank you for my furniture I love it. So cute. Nicole got her toy laptop and put it on the keyboard drawer. So amazing just watching them play in their own rooms. They were so ok with being alone tonight. Justin did say what if I have to tell Nikki something? We read books in Justin’s room tonight and we will alternate rooms every night if we can remember whose room we were in the night before. The kiddos went right to sleep. It is a little sad for me but know it is just a step of growing up, but does it have to happen so fast? The kiddos had to test out that we could hear them since one of the rooms doesn’t have a monitor. Here are pics of their new rooms:

This morning we started a class at Coastline Community College. I was worried it wasn’t going to be a good class but it was great. The kids had a blast. It is like a mini preschool with painting, an unbelievable amount of toys, dress up, puzzles, storytime and songs, and outside stuff. I was really impressed with the class and the price. The kids enjoyed painting shells and Justin said his favorite part was the water and Nicole said her favorite was the crawling baby/grandma in the doll house. After we went to Lil Pickle for lunch with Mikey, Katie, and Sarah. Nicole went in Paula’s car with the girls and Justin was so happy Mikey came in our car. After we did some errands and came home. The kids watched some TV, Super Why and Little Einsteins. I also painted Nicole’s toes for her while she was watching and did laundry. Also started to clean up around here. The kids and I played while waiting for daddy to get home from work. We played baby, mommy, and daddy with the minivan. Then we got out all these cups and made towers on the kitchen floor. After dinner the kids just played, mostly with trains. Then I had to go to a pre school bard meeting. Bret said the kids were really good for him. Now to rest.

The kids were playing really well together but I had to go down to the pre school to do some work. The kids had fun there and just played with so many toys. One of their school friends came as well. So fun for them to have the pre school to themselves and play with all the toys. Then we headed over to the pool for some swimming with the mom’s club group. We had a great time. In fact I forgot to feed the kids lunch. But they were having way too much fun to get out of the pool to eat. They were jumping in, swimming to me, etc. After the pool I gave the kiddos a shower and we had a late lunch. I was hoping to get my tires rotated at costco today but they were really behind. So the kiddos and I just shopped a bit at Costco and came home. The kids played with the little mini van and all the cars, I love watching them interact together and be nice to one another. I decided to go outside and make it rain. I propped the hose up on the patio cover and the kids got out their umbrellas and boots. It was fun. The kids loved it. Justin got so wet. Finally he just wanted to go under with no umbrella. So nice on a hot day. At dinner tonight Nicole asked us to go to monkey bar park, so off we went. The kid had a great time at the park. Surprisingly Nicole didn’t do the monkey bars the entire time. Both kids were all about daddy. I was so impressed they left the park without much of a fuss and made putting them to bed easy. I am glad we got them to bed on time.

Cleaners coming today, yeah as the house really needs to be cleaned. We played this morning at home for a bit. I told the kiddos we were going to Chuck E Cheese for playgroup, so all morning I got “are we going yet”. The kids had so much fun playing games. Justin was really into the game where you bop things, kind of like an electric version of Whack A Mole. Nicole was bummed her clock chair thing that goes around wasn’t working. This is the first time I have given the kids tokens and let them kind of go off by themselves. Which was nice as then I could join one of the kiddos for a game. We had a great time this morning, good friends. After we went to In N Out Burger with some friends. The kids loved sitting up on the bar stools. Love the little things that they get so happy about. Then all of us went over to Walkmart. Nicole got a headband with cat ears and it thrilled with it. It is actually nice to have the hair out of her face. The kids just loved looking around the store with their friends and playing with the toys. I am always amazed how great my kiddos are in the stores, I feel very lucky. On the way home they ate their lollipops that they got from the tickets from Chuck E Cheese. Needless to say it was a nice quiet ride home. I let them watch Super Why when we got home. I feel like they haven’t watched TV in a while. We did an errand then met grandma/pa at Fuddruckers. There was a car show of old cars there and the kids had a good time. Justin wanted to drive all the green cars; his favorite one was the race car. They both liked looking at the cars and grandpa showed Justin white walls, told him what year all the cars were, engines, etc. I was showing Justin one of the cars and he told me that we needed to look at the engine, so funny. We all had dinner together-the place was pretty busy. The kids liked when there were stuffed animals in the car. One car had some big chicken stuffed animals that were driving the car. Nicole ran over to tell Justin about it. When we got home the kids needed some play time. Dad played with them while I met the girls at Yogurtland to talk about our new Bunco group. All the girls seem great so I am pretty excited. So nice to go out but now off to bed.

I just felt like being a home body today. The kids were up early this morning, ugh. The kids and I played for a while this morning. I also got some stuff done around the house. Justin loved lining up his little hot wheel cars in shady spots. Nicole was busy pretending to be a dog and reading books. One of my friends, Carin with her kiddos ending up coming over. Nicole and Sofi played so well together. They dressed up as Cinderella together and put on lots of beads, bracelets, etc. I felt a little bad for Justin since he didn’t have a guy here but he just went with the flow. He put on some beads and some dress up shoes with the girls. Him and I played a bit while the girls played too. He was loving petting Zoe too.  It was just a mellow good morning. After our friends left, the kids ate a little lunch then played together. They played cars around the couch. I let them play together for a bit, got a bit of a break. Then I decided to take them swimming. We had such a great time at the pool. All they wanted to do was jump in over and over anything. So silly. They loved splashing me too. I decided to wash their hair in the showers there since it was bath day. So funny Justin gets cold in the water and goes to the showers to warm up. We had a lot of fun. We came home and played with Zoe on the greenbelt for a bit then Zoe’s mommy came to pick her up. So sad to see Zoe leave but nice not to have the responsibility. The kids will miss her but we can visit her anytime. Nicole and I played baby, mommy, and daddy while Justin and daddy went to go get dinner. Too hot to cook tonight. The kids and dad played in the play room for a bit while I worked on my scrapbooks for a bit. We needed to bring something back to Zoe’s house, so the kids rode their bikes. They had a great time riding their bikes, although Nicole got out a little out of control and fell. So great though as she cries then gets right back on the bike. The kids seemed a bit tired tonight, so we read lots of books, brushed teeth, put on jammies, and off to bed. I need to get ready for the cleaners to come tomorrow, yeah!
