Music Class

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

We started South Coast Music Together Class again. We took it in the summer and have been listening to the same cd over and over and over again. The kids love it. They were so cute in the class, throwing scarves in the air to the beat of the music, playing with instruments, cleaning up. Jacole (Nathaniel )and Vena (Cole and Grant) are in the class with us. I did some gardening at nap time. Pulled a ton of weeds. I miss all the gardening I used to do. I can’t wait to plant veggies and stuff with the kids. Oh we weighed the kids this morning, both are about 27 pounds. Bret has completed the install of the weather station.

Park Day

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

We had a great time at Orchard Park this morning. The kids had a blast and I had a great time seeing my friends. They just love to be outside. The kids learned they can step on their little stools and see what I am doing on the kitchen counters. Then they brought them over to the kitchen table to use them to get on the chairs. It was cute but scary-don’t want them to fall off. They are still sleeping in each other’s cribs at nap time. Too funny. Nicole went on the potty as much as I let her. Poor Justin thinks he is going on the potty even with a diaper on. Someday he will get it. Lately the kids have been wild, running around and cracking us up. They are doing so well getting their hair washed in the tub. I put soap in their hands and they put it in their hair and they have finally learned to hold their heads back while trying to wash out the shampoo.

Busy Morning

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

Bret had to get up at 6:00AM this morning, yuck. And I am hormonal. I was crying over ants in the kitchen (rain brought them in) then I didn’t want Bret to leave for work. Our play group went to the zoo this morning. It was great to see our friends, Christy, Neyha, Jen, Maggie, and Christine. You guys had fun. You saw Turkeys and learned that they say gobble gobble. We went on the train ride. Then we ate lunch in the car and off to mommy and me preschool. There was shaving cream at preschool but surprisingly neither of you were too into it. Justin liked the glue and glitter and Nicole loved washing her hands a zillion times. You both were soaked by the end. You had a blast playing outside too. Nap time was a bit challenging as preschool goes until 1:30. I think at 2:00 you went down and slept till 4:00.

Socks in the Bath?

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Not a very exciting day today. Went to the grocery store and Costco. So we were getting the kids ready for bath and all of a sudden Justin said “socks on”. Daddy put Justin in the tub with his socks on. Oh well we got a good laugh at it. Right now all is quiet Justin is sleeping in Nicole’s crib and Nicole is sleeping in Justin’s crib. Daddy has to work at 6:00AM and the kids and I have a busy day ahead of us.

Gloomy Day 2

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Another gloomy day….We went to Grammy’s this morning. Bret helped her put away all her Christmas decorations. One time we went there and a plane was taking off as we took Justin out of the car and it scared him. Now every time we go to Grammy’s the kids say “Justin scared off planes, he cried”. The funny thing is he loves watching planes. He just didn’t know that one was coming. The kids have been napping so well these days. I ran to Target at nap time and Bret worked on installing the weather station on the roof (in the rain). After dinner we went out to Barnes and Nobles. The kids had a blast looking at all the books. It was hard to keep up with them to put them all away. Nicole is still babbling in her crib, 45 minutes later…..

Gloomy Day

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

We are so spoiled in CA-one gloomy day and I miss the sun. We went to My Gym this morning for a make up class. The class was too crowded that the kids didn’t have as good of a time as usual. Then we went to In N Out for lunch-Yum. Bret ran around at nap time getting stuff for the weather station. I am on a mission cleaning out the house. In fact we did a big run to goodwill. We worked in the garage a bit as well. So not an exciting day. Bath night tonight.

Fun with Friends

Friday, January 4th, 2008

We had a play date with Paula and Krista. We debated about walking to Krista’s as we are supposed to have a big rain storm. We decided to chance it and walk. The walk took forever as we had to look at everything, too cute. My kids had a blast at Krista’s. They loved the grocery carts and strollers. Justin played on the cool see saw and had a silly grin on his face the entire time (see pic). After nap, we went to the grocery store. The grocery store has little carts for the kids. I let them go wild. They had a blast but it was so crazy for me. Everyone laughed at us. Of course you can laugh when you aren’t the one going through it. Luckily it got better as I weighed their carts down with more food. Nicole decided to take her pajamas off again tonight when she was supposed to be going to sleep. It was really cute and I tried to laugh but I just wanted her to go to sleep. I tried the cupcake pan again, it is definitely getting better. Bret got a new weather station for Christmas so he is busy playing with that. Check out www.irvineweather.org soon. And I am just downloading a ton of pics to print at Costco.

Crazy Nap Time

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

This morning we dropped off lunch to a friend who is recovering from a hysterectomy. Then before the rain, we played outside. The kids pushed their babies in their doll strollers up and down the street. Nap time was crazy. They both threw everything out of their cribs, blankets, pillows, books and jumped up and down. I thought after a half hour they would calm down, but I was wrong. The funniest part was the kids wanted to sleep in each other’s cribs. It was so strange when I went up there and Nicole was in Justin’s crib. After nap we ran to Costco. Christmas keeps coming for me. I just got a huge cupcake pan (it was on backorder). Just in case mine is not picture worthy here is what the pan looks like. Well I need a lot more practice with making a large cupcake. I learned a lot. Here is the final cupcake, no laughing…check back it will get better with time.

Holidays are over, life is back to normal

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

This morning we went to the Santa Ana Zoo with Paula and Krista. The kids had a great time. They liked seeing the animals especially the monkeys and the train ride. But most of all they talk about their friend Katie hiding in the stroller. She was in the basket of the stroller, hopefully my kids won’t get any ideas. Also a big thrill was washing their hands in this big basin. After the zoo, we all went to Chick Fil A. The kids played in the play area. After nap we went to My Gym. You guys were so excited to go to the Gym. It was a great class, swings, train ride, bubbles, etc. While we were having all this fun dad was taking care of my car. Got the screw out of the tire and bought two tires. The kids had a blast riding in daddy’s car. And we are done dog sitting.

Bathrobes

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Before bath Nicole pooped in the potty for the first time. I don’t think she meant to as she was not too pleased about it. It was so gross to clean out of the potty. We decided the kids needed bathrobes rather than running around naked after bath and freezing. Tonight they kept them on for about 5 minutes, great purchase-huh? At least we got a cute picture. So we put the kids in their cribs said goodnight. All of a sudden I was headed out for a walk and I heard Nicole. I went up there and she was naked-ugh. It was really cute but I just wanted to get out for a walk.
